A vintage wooden play tray - a wooden base with cut out pieces to fit into their corresponding holes.

I'm not very good at dating these things, but suspect 1950s / 1960s.

The picture is lovely - a woodland scene with ten little removable picture shapes, including animals and pixies. (My favourite is the toadstools with a tiny mouse).

Measures 27 x 21cm.

Labelled as

"Made in England by G J Hayter and Co Ltd. Bournemouth."

Please note it is a little bit scruffy - the picture has been worn away in a couple of places, and the bird's tail is missing. Also there is no box. So this is a far from perfect collectible toy - but still has some charm.
