Condition:  Fair - some scuffs to corners, little tear at top of spine, and age markings on the cover (especially back cover which is an unforgiving yellow!) Inside there is a pen name and mark, and a few age marks  - but pretty tidy inside nonetheless.  

I am no expert on dating, but have used the wonderful resource available on Helen Day's website Fly Away Home and believe this book is from 1971.
