Handmade by ethical toy maker Gluckskafer, this is a truly beautiful wooden play cottage / barn, suitable for play with a whole host of little animals and characters. 

It sits on a curved base and has a characterful pitched roof and a little side door. 

It is made from European alder wood (which is a little like pine) and finished with hand-applied natural oil to bring out the beautiful grain. 

Obviously it is a lovely home for the Gluckskafer felt animals, but in the past I have also used it for Maileg mice and other small characters.

It is also a nice setting for a nativity scene at Christmas.
